Zoom Making progress with the new FW30 package

It is early days yet, but the new Williams Toyota package has shown well in testing this week at Jerez.

Yesterday Nico Rosberg found himself second fastest to former team-mate turned Red Bull racer Mark Webber, while today Kazuki Nakajima lapped at a similar pace and was third fastest for the squad.

The fourth and final day of running for the team saw rookie Nakajima put in 90 laps with a best lap of 1:19.117s, good for third fastest on the day.

Today the team brought in new test driver Nico Hulkenberg, recording the 14th best time of the 16 present.

“Today we finished testing in Jerez, with Kazuki and Nico Hulkenberg on driving duties," stated Technical Director Sam Michael. "We spent most of today on set-up work and it was Nico's first proper run in the FW30."

"Overall we have had a productive test and look forward to the next step in Barcelona next week.”
