| Practice this morning saw Felipe Massa set the pace in his Ferrari with a best lap of 1:20.183s. It was interesting to note that few drivers made gains on the softer tyre, so perhaps we will have a situation where the harder option is the choice tyre for qualifying for some runners. |

| McLaren have looked strong all weekend. This morning Alonso and Hamilton were second and third fastest ahead of Nick Heidfeld, Kimi Raikkonen and Nico Rosberg – one driver who did enjoy a better lap on the soft tyres. |
