10:50:08 Welcome to F1-Live.com and continued coverage of the Belgian Grand Prix weekend. The final practice session ahead of qualification begins shortly.
10:52:15 McLaren Mercedes may have issues off circuit at the moment, but yesterday afternoon Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton led the way for the team topping the second practice session of the weekend. Alonso set the pace on a 1:46.654s best with Hamilton a tenth back.
10:54:04 Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen were third and fourth fastest for Ferrari. Raikkonen set the pace in the morning session, but was not able to keep up with the McLaren duo in the afternoon. As ever, it is a battle between the top two teams once again.
10:56:06 Toyota were the third fastest team yesterday with Jarno Trulli and Ralf Schumacher fifth and sixth fastest. After a difficult run at Monza, the team will be hoping that when it really counts, they can again be in the hunt for solid top ten positions.
10:58:03 Giancarlo Fisichella was seventh for Renault ahead of Mark Webber in the Red Bull Renault, while BMW Sauber struggled a little with Kubica and Heidfeld ninth and 11th. Heikki Kovalainen was tenth in the second Renault.
10:59:03 It is another sunny morning at Spa Francorchamps.
11:00:05 The 60 minute practice session is now underway.
11:00:27 Adrian Sutil is the first man on track. Most will complete an installation lap and pit.
11:01:01 Many more following out for a lap to check the race cars now that they are fitted with race engines.
11:01:58 Roughly half of the field are now on the track. It's a long lap at Spa at just over 7 KM.
11:02:34 The early runners are now starting to return to the pits.
11:04:14 Alonso, Raikkonen and Massa yet to go out.
11:05:17 No one on track at the moment.
11:06:42 As was the case yesterday, the track temperature is relatively low this early in the day and therefore no one wanting to run at the moment.
11:08:06 Hamilton is sitting in his McLaren waiting to go out.
11:08:32 Sakon Yamamoto heads back out in his Spyker Ferrari.
11:09:02 Ralf Schumacher going out in his Toyota.
11:09:58 Adrian Sutil joins his Spyker team-mate on track. He crashed out yesterday afternoon at Malmedy.
11:10:43 Yamamoto is now on his first timed lap of the session.
11:11:05 Davidson and Liuzzi head out for Super Aguri and Toro Rosso.
11:12:12 Yamamoto, 17th yesterday, sets the initial pace with a lap roughly two seconds off his Friday best.
11:12:38 Nick Heidfeld heads out in his BMW Sauber. He was unhappy with the balance of the F1.07 yesterday.
11:12:54 Ralf Schuamcher is now fastest from Yamamoto.
11:13:17 Raikkonen, Vettel and Sato head out.
11:14:01 Sutil moves second fastest ahead of team-mate Yamamoto.
11:14:22 Rosberg and Kubica join the action.
11:14:39 Kubica has pulled off.
11:15:14 That looks like an engine failure exiting Malmedy and heading to Rivage. That is the end of his session.
11:15:44 Should it prove to be an engine failure, he will suffer a ten position engine change penalty following qualifying later today.
11:16:06 Raikkonen is on his first timed lap. Hamilton is now out.
11:16:40 A number of teams such as Ferrari and McLaren are on the second race with the same engine.

11:27:03 A small gain from Webber who remains fifth fastest. Ralf Schumacher is back out.
11:27:56 Kovalainen has completed a number of laps and is way off the pace. He is now back in the pit. Fisichella too is off the pace and returning to the pits.
11:28:09 Trulli is now out in his Toyota.
11:29:14 The gaps are big at the moment with Raikkonen a tenth ahead of Massa and then a gap of eight-tenths back to Hamilton. Then another second back to Ralf Schumacher.
11:29:30 Massa locks his front right into the bus stop.
11:30:18 Alonso is about toi head out.
11:30:56 An engineer is holding Alonso in the pit as he looks at the data.
11:31:15 The Monza winner is now rolling down the pit lane.
11:31:41 Liuzzi is currently sixth fastest in his Toro Rosso.
11:31:57 Trulli moves fourth fastest on his first timed lap.
11:33:46 One of the Spyker drivers runs off track at Rivage. He resumes.
11:34:14 Alonso is pushing hard on his first timed lap of the session.
11:35:21 The first lap pace of the McLaren is strong as Alonso moves third, three tenths behind Raikkonen.
11:35:52 Ferrari are fast but it takes a number of laps to get up tp speed. That may be a factor in qualifying.
11:36:52 Coulthard has completed an installation lap in his Red Bull but has not been seen since. Renault remain at the back. Something odd going on at Renault this morning.
11:37:30 Raikkonen is on another hot lap.
11:38:44 Coulthard is now on track with just over 20 minutes remaining.
11:39:08 Raikkonen improves his own best and is now six-tenths clear of Massa who is in the pits.

11:43:51 The clouds seem to be moving in. It is still partly sunny though, but becoming slightly overcast.
11:44:10 Yamamoto has gone off.
11:44:29 Yamamoto has front end damage to the Spyker.
11:45:13 Yamamoto lost the back end at Fagnes and the car just spun around.
11:45:55 Massa meanwhile improved his own best but remains second fastest.
11:46:18 There was something with the front left wheel - perhaps a braking issue on the Spyker.
11:46:46 Most have pitted as the Spyker is removed.
11:49:07 Liuzzi remains on track and is an impressive eighth fastest.
11:50:04 Ten minutes remain. None of the front runners on track.
11:50:47 Vettel moves ninth fastest in the second Toro Rosso.
11:51:12 Button is on track looking to improve on 18th.
11:51:28 Button does improve and is now eighth fastest.

11:59:02 Kovalainen pits. He was fifth.
11:59:20 Alonso is now third with Hamilton fourth.
11:59:43 Raikkonen and Alonso on the soft tyre.
12:00:00 Most running the soft tyre for this final run as it is worth half a second over the lap.
12:00:12 The chequered flag is now out.
12:00:34 Raikkonen on a hot lap. Rosberg moves seventh.
12:01:00 No improvement from Raikkonen.
