13.30Welcome to F1-Live.com and our live coverage of the 70-lap Hungarian Grand Prix. It has been a dramatic weekend so far.
13.32Qualifying yesterday brought yet more controversy to Formula One and once again it involved the McLaren Mercedes team. For once however, Ferrari were not involved in any way!
13.34Fernando Alonso qualified on the pole position, but only after he waited in the pits long enough (for whatever reason) to deny team-mate Lewis Hamilton a chance to make his final run. Unsurprisingly, the stewards took a dim view on this and he was demoted five positions on the grid.
13.36The team were also found guilty of breaking the rules, and they will not score any points in the constructors’ championship in this race, although that is under appeal. Lewis Hamilton therefore starts from the pole with Alonso sixth.
13.37 The actions of the team in the final minutes of qualifying are deemed prejudicial to the interests of the competition and to the interests of motor sport generally, said the stewards late last night in a statement addressed to McLaren boss Ron Dennis.
13.38Alonso and McLaren were not the only ones to get a penalty after qualifying. Giancarlo Fisichella had qualified in eighth position, but he is demoted to 13th after he blocked Sakon Yamamoto. With Renault team-mate Heikki Kovalainen 11th on the grid, Renault face another tough race.
13.40Nick Heidfeld starts second in his BMW Sauber after a great run in qualifying. It will be interesting to see if he can hang on to Hamilton at the start of the race or if he will perhaps try a different strategy and try to go for broke. Team-mate Robert Kubica starts seventh but has not been particularly comfortable with his F1.07 this weekend.
13.42Kimi Raikkonen starts third in his Ferrari, but it is clear the team have problems with the handling of the F2007. Felipe Massa struggled in qualifying and a fuel problem hardly helped his cause as he qualified a dismal 14th.
13.44Nico Rosberg starts fourth in his Williams Toyota and has a great chance to secure his first points since round four of the championship in Spain. Ralf Schumacher and the Toyota team also have a chance to score much needed points as he starts fifth ahead of Alonso.
13.46With Kubica seventh, Jarno Trulli lines up eighth in the second Toyota ahead of the Red Bull Renault duo of Mark Webber and David Coulthard. For Red Bull, a reliable run will be the key after numerous issues with the gearbox and hydraulic system all season.
13.48Alex Wurz starts 12th in his Williams Toyota ahead of Fisichella and Massa. Anthony Davidson leads the way for Super Aguri Honda in 15th ahead of Tonio Liuzzi who did a good job to make it into the second round of qualifying yesterday in his Toro Rosso.
13.50Honda faces a long afternoon with Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello lining up 17th and 18th. The shortcomings of the RA107 are very apparent at this circuit and it seems that the team really has made no progress with this difficult car. For Button, one year on from his first win, things can only get better.
13.52Towards the back, Takuma Sato starts 19th in the second Super Aguri after running off track at the end of his final qualifying lap. Sebastian Vettel is having a tough debut with Toro Rosso and starts 20th ahead of Spyker racers Adrian Sutil and Sakon Yamamoto.
13.54Strategy and tyres will play a part in this race. The soft Bridgestone tyre is not lasting well and is most certainly the slower option over a race stint. Expect most to save the soft tyre until the final stint of the race.
13.56Due to the tyre issues, many may well opt to make it a three stop race to minimise the time spent on the soft tyre.
13.57The stands are full and the sun is shining.
13.58The drivers are all on the grid and awaiting the crews to fire up the engines.
13.59The engines are being fired up and the grid is being cleared.
13.59The front runners are on the hard tyres.
14.00The parade lap is now underway.
14.00Fisichella (13th) is on soft tyres.
14.02Hamilton lines up on his pole position with the rest of the grid getting into position.
Lap 1The Hungarian Grand Prix is underway.
Lap 1Slow start from Heidfeld who gets passed by Raikkonen.
Lap 1Alonso lost a position to Kubica as Massa runs wide and loses a place to Davidson.
Lap 2Hamilton leads acroos the line as Alonso runs wide in the final turn.
Lap 2Alonso lost a position to Webber as he ran wide.
Lap 3Alonso is now pushing to try and get ahead of Webber.
Lap 3Alonso makes the pass on Webber at the end of the main straight.
Lap 4Alonso now passes Kubica into trun one.
Lap 5So Hamilton leads Raikkonen by three seconds. It was actually Sato who passed Massa on that first lap as well as Davidson
Lap 6Trulli was the main loser at the start as he lost four positions. He now runs in P12.
Lap 6Yamamoto has gone of and damaged the Spyker.
Lap 6It is a light side impact and that's the end of his race.
Lap 7Raikkonen is keeping the gap at just over three seconds while Heidfeld is dropping away in his BMW Sauber.
Lap 8Alonso is now trying to find a way passed Ralf Schumacher
Lap 8With Yamamoto out, Barrichello is now the final runner.
Lap 9Raikkonen actually takes a few tenths out of Hamilton on that last lap.
Lap 10Massa is still 16th and not making progress. He will have a lot of fuel on board at the moment, but still.
Lap 11Schumacher is holding Alonso. He kicks up a bit of dust but no real drama.
Lap 12Alonso need to get ahead of Schumacher as the front two are getting away.
Lap 13One of the Renaults ran wide... it was Fisichella and he has lost a position to Trulli.
Lap 14A slow lap from Raikkonen and Hamilton pulls over a second.
Lap 15Sebastian Vettel is running well as he trails Liuzzi by two seconds and keeping the gap stable.
Lap 16Heidfeld runs in a lonely third while Rosberg is also not under pressure from Schumacher who runs fifth.
Lap 18Heidfeld pits from third. Alonso and Rosberg also pit.
Lap 18A lot of fuel for Alonso in that stop. He remains on the harder tyre.
Lap 19Barrichello pits from last. Obviously the car is just slow and not full of fuel!
Lap 19Ralf Schumacher now pits. He will be aiming to exit ahead of Alonso again.
Lap 19Schumacher does exit in front of Alonso.
Lap 20Hamilton and Raikkonen pit from first and second.
Lap 20Kubica now pits his BMW Sauber.
Lap 20Fisichella pits his Renault.

Lap 22Kovalainen and Coulthard have yet to pit.
Lap 23Raikkonen is keeping Hamilton within two seconds.
Lap 24Kubica gained position on Schumacher and Alonso in the first round of stops. He got the jump initially at the start before being passed. Now he is two seconds ahead of Schumacher.
Lap 25Kovalainen is still on track and has yet to pit. He runs fourth.
Lap 26The gap at the front is just 1.5s. Heidfeld way way back in third while Alonso is still making no progress with Ralf Schumacher.
Lap 27Coulthard pits his Red Bull from sixth position
Lap 27Raikkonen is now closer to Hamilton as the gap comes down again.
Lap 28Kovalainen pits from fourth position. He is making the soft tyres work.
Lap 28Kovalainen exits just ahead of Davidson and Wurz.
Lap 29Alonso is still one position further back than where he started from while Hamilton is coming under pressure from Raikkonen.
Lap 30The gap is around a second at the front and Raikkonen seems to be the faster of the two. Of course passing is very hard at this circuit.
Lap 30Wurz pits his Williams from 11th.
Lap 31Davidson pits from tenth.
Lap 32Sato, Massa and Vettel yet to pit.
Lap 32Now Vettel pits his STR.
Lap 33Rosberg pits his Williams from fourth position. That is his second stop.
Lap 33An early second stop for Rosberg. Sato makes his first stop.
Lap 33Sato exited the pits right in front of Hamilton who lost a bit of time.
Lap 34Alonso runs wide and loses ground to Schumacher.
Lap 35Wurz was able to get ahead of both Sato and Davidson in the pits and now has some clear track for the first time in the race as he looks to close down Trulli.
Lap 36Heidfeld is closing on the race leader and it shows that Hamilton does not have much pace at the moment.
Lap 36Massa pits from 11th. That is his first stop.
Lap 37Massa exits ahead of Hamilton. Interesting!
Lap 37Raikkonen is right on the back of Hamilton, so a few key laps ahead for the championship leader.
Lap 38Button has pulled off and is out of the race. He was 19th in the awful RA107.
Lap 38Massa is actually pulling away from Hamilton, so perhaps blue flags will not come in.
Lap 39Massa runs in 14th position, right where he started.
Lap 41Massa gets out of the way and the leaders are through.
Lap 41Webber pist from seventh position. That is his second stop.
Lap 42Nick Heidfeld now pits from third position. He seems to be in a safe third position.
Lap 42Heidfeld exits ahead of Ralf Schumacher so he will be happy not to lose time behind the Toyota.
Lap 43Fisichella has made his second stop. Alonso is pushing Ralf Schumachetr hard for position now.
Lap 43Davidson (15th) has spun exiting turn one. Kubica pits his BMW Sauber.
Lap 43Davidson is stuck on the kerbing and climbs out. Actually he and Fisichella got together and that is why he spun.
Lap 43Davidson is stuck on the kerbing and climbs out. Actually he and Fisichella got together and that is why he spun.
Lap 45Vettel pits and retires the Toro Rosso
Lap 45Alonso remains behind Schumacher but cannot find a way by.
Lap 46Correction. Apologies, it wasn't Vettel that retired but team mate Liuzzi.
Lap 47Raikkonen pits from second position. He was one second behind Hamilton. He takes soft tyres for the final stint.
Lap 47Raikkonen pits from second position. He was one second behind Hamilton. He takes soft tyres for the final stint.
Lap 48Hamilton stays out for another lap.
Lap 48Hamilton is pushing hard now to ensure that he exits the pits ahead of Raikkonen as Sato runs a bit wide but continues.
Lap 49Schumacher pits. Alonso will be most pleased.
Lap 50Sutil runs wide exiting the final turn. He is still running ahead of Barrichello.
Lap 50Hamilton pits from the lead.
Lap 51Soft tyres for the final stint as Hamilton exits the pits ahead of Raikkonen.
Lap 51Alonso now pits his McLaren. He will be looking to get ahead of Schumacher.
Lap 51Alonso exits ahead of Schumacher.
Lap 51Massa pits from 12th position.
Lap 52Hamilton pulled three seconds during that second round of stops.
Lap 52Trulli and Wurz both pit.
Lap 53Now on the soft tyres, the handling may well change for the front runners.
Lap 54Raikkonen has a better lap and pulls a second on Hamilton.
Lap 55Hamilton laps Barrichello for a second time as Heidfeld pits from third.
Lap 55Raikkonen runs wide after getting too close to the back of one of the Red Bulls.
Lap 56Rosberg pits for the third time. He was in fourth position, fifth in reality.
Lap 57Rosberg's three stop strategy is not working as he is now eighth. Kubica pits his BMW Sauber.
Lap 58It is close at the front with Raikkonen tailing Hamilton.
Lap 59Webber pits his Red Bull for the third time.
Lap 60Alonso is now fourth and is pushing hard to try and make a move on Heidfeld. The three stop BMW Strategy has put Heidfeld in danager.
Lap 62Hamilton and Raikkonen run a few car lengths apart, but the pass will be very tough to make.
Lap 63Massa is closing in on Fisichella and keen to move P12.
Lap 65The closing stages now. It is close for the lead and close for third, but can anyone actually pass?
Lap 67Barrichello still runs last and will not catch Adrian Sutil. What a day for Honda.
Lap 67Alonso is really pushing hard to try and get P3. He runs wide but is right on the back of Heidfeld again.
Lap 68Unless Heidfeld makes a mistake, he should be safe for the final podium position.
Lap 69Hamilton starts his final lap and should be safe now.
Lap 70Hamilton wins the Hungarian Grand Prix from Kimi Raikkonen.
Lap 70heidfeld holds on for third position ahead of Alonso and Kubica.
Lap 70Ralf Schumacher is sixth ahead of Rosberg and Kovalainen.
