| This morning Kimi Raikkonen dominated the opening practice session of the day with a best lap of 1:33.162s, half a second clear of Ferrari team-mate Felipe Massa. McLaren Mercedes were another half a second back, with Lewis Hamilton just a fraction ahead of Fernando Alonso. |

| Jarno Trulli was best of the rest in his Toyota, but at 1.7s slower it is pretty clear that Ferrari and McLaren look set to continue their domination of the 2007 season. |

| The BMW Sauber duo of Nick Heidfeld and Robert Kubica were sixth and seventh fastest ahead of Tonio Liuzzi in the Toro Rosso while Nico Rosberg and Alex Wurz rounded out the top ten for Williams Toyota. |
